What is stamped concrete?

Stamped concrete is regular, reinforced concrete that is colored and pressed with patterned mats while it is still workable. The result looks like natural stone, brick, slate or wood, in one continuous slab.

How long does stamped concrete last?

A well-built and well-maintained stamped slab is made to last for many years. The base, reinforcement, control joints and sealer all matter, and re-sealing every few years keeps the surface looking its best.

Is stamped concrete slippery?

The textured surface gives good traction, and we can add a slip-resistant additive to the sealer for pool decks, steps and other wet areas.

Can you stamp over my existing concrete?

Sometimes. If your slab is structurally sound, a decorative overlay can be stamped for a similar look. If it is cracked or sunken, replacement is usually the better choice. We will give you an honest opinion at your estimate.

Do you offer free estimates?

Yes. We visit your property, listen to your ideas, show you patterns and colors and give you a clear estimate at no charge.

Do you do commercial work?

Yes. We pour footings, sidewalks, retaining walls and decorative plazas for builders, property managers and business owners.

What areas do you serve?

Nashville and Middle Tennessee, including Antioch, Arrington, Bellevue, Brentwood, College Grove, Columbia, Franklin, Gallatin, Goodlettsville, Hermitage, Hendersonville, La Vergne, Lebanon, Madison, Mt. Juliet, Murfreesboro, Nolensville, Smyrna, Spring Hill and Thompson’s Station.

Do you also do pavers, block and brick?

Yes. Stone pavers, concrete block and brick work often go together with concrete projects, and we handle them too.

How long before I can walk on a new slab?

Foot traffic is usually possible within a day or two, but the timing depends on weather and the mix. We will tell you exactly when to stay off and when you can drive on it.

Will my stamped concrete crack?

Concrete can crack. Reinforcement, a good base and control joints cut at the right places help control where and how. We lay the joints out along the pattern so they are hard to see.

Can the color be matched to my home?

Yes. We bring color samples to your property so you can see them in your light and choose a base and accent that complement your brick, siding and roof.

What is release color?

Release is a colored powder or liquid used so the stamp mat does not stick. It also settles into the texture and joints, giving the surface the depth of antiqued natural stone.

Do I need to seal stamped concrete?

Yes. Sealer protects the color and surface and gives the finish you choose, from matte to glossy. We seal new work and can re-seal older concrete.

Can you add a fire pit or seating wall?

Yes. We can design and build fire pits, seating walls, steps and outdoor kitchens together with your patio.

What affects the cost of a stamped patio?

Size, site access, base conditions, pattern complexity, colors, borders and extra features all matter. See our cost guide for details, and call for a free estimate.

Do you offer repairs and resurfacing?

Yes. We repair, resurface and replace concrete, and we can re-seal stamped surfaces.

Can stamped concrete be used for a pool deck?

Yes, with slip-resistant texture and light, cooler-underfoot colors. We also resurface older pool decks.

Is stamped concrete a good choice for Tennessee weather?

It can be, when it is built on a proper base with reinforcement, joints and sealer. Tennessee has heat, heavy rain and freeze-thaw cycles, so the details matter.
