What to Expect
Built Right, Finished Beautifully
There are several ways to color concrete. Integral color is mixed through the batch so the color is all the way through. Color hardener is broadcast onto the surface for rich color and extra surface strength. Stain penetrates the surface to create a translucent, variegated look.
Each method has its own look. We help you choose based on your project, from a plain broom-finish driveway in warm tan to a stamped patio with multiple tones and antique release.
Color is also what makes stamped concrete look real. Natural stone has variation, so we layer base color and release color to create depth, shadow and character.

Color looks different in sun and shade, wet and dry. Always look at samples outside, at the time of day you use the space most. Choose a color that works with your roof, brick and siding rather than matching any one of them exactly. We bring samples and are happy to help you decide.

Sun and wear can soften color over time. Sealing and re-sealing help protect it.
What is the difference between integral color and stain?
Integral color is mixed through the concrete. Stain is applied to the surface after and gives a mottled, translucent look.
